Mountains, mountains -
waiting |
This area starts of with the isolated peaks of Jerai
and those on the Langkawai main island. Dramatic waterfalls make their
appearances during the rainy seasons. The broad plains for rice growing
gradually give way to another isolated hill at Trong.
Kedah and Perak are both backed by the Main Range on
their eastern borders. Tall mountains and lush jungles are places
Waterfalls are hidden
From my experiences, if you are looking for adventure,
try focusing on eastern Kedah, Gunong Bubu, the new Simpang Pulai / Gua
Musang Road and the hills south of Tapah. These
few states are in close proximity with each other. Adopting Penang as a
base, most destinations are
within a few hours drive. Making day trips is not unthinkable fancy and
the results can be
rewarding.
