The map is intended to give orientation of the lake profile and its bearing to the major town.

Some statistics - Kenyir area:
  • Occupies an area of slightly over 100 square mile
  • The peaks of the former hills appear as 340 islands
  • 14 "recognizable" waterfalls
  • waterfalls-tallest with cascades-drops over 500 feet
  • over 300 species of freshwater fishes recorded
  • highest peak is around Gunong Chergau-4,514 feet

This is one huge area to get away with and to be among nature, and which coincidentally contain the settings for every conceivable outdoor activity. The best activity is to do nothing, relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

These are some activities anybody can do and suggested!

Here in the morning, the surrounding is so quiet, peaceful and calm. It is reflected in the water. Vincent had such a peaceful night too. There were no mosquitoes! Although mosquitoes net is part of the furnishings, but not needed.

Enjoy the serenity and practice your skills in photography to get that perfect shot of nature!

Or-just take a boat tour to the numerous coves and valleys and absorb the beauty of the tropical jungle.

This is real frontier land minus the uncertainties. Every tributary and corner is so natural.

Join in the fun; take a dip in the fresh and cold mountain stream yourself. 

You can have the whole pool to yourself. Clean, cool and calm deep pool.

For those who do not fancy vigorous activities can seat back, admire the sight of the cascading waterfall. 

The whole family can picnic with different waterfalls everyday.

Behave like a tourist. Here is the view of the main administrative center and jetty point.

Back to civilization, the entrance to this majestic outback is also a panoramic beauty.

Our group members could not resist such enchanting surroundings but to pose as tourist for once.

The Waterfalls

Finally, without forgetting the subject matters, there are 6 common waterfalls that the guides will be eager to show you:-

Most of the waterfall have ample space for the picnic crowd and safe pools to swim. Others like this one can be view from the boat. This group here was more interested in getting their fishes than the view of the waterfall.

`This is the Lasir Waterfalls. One of those "nearby" waterfalls about 16 kilometers from the jetty. This is a series cascades dropping 150 meters in total height. Here the fall is seen broken in splinters by the multi-tier protrusions

There are so many falls here, their names and sizes are overwhelmed by the wishes that you have time to spend with every one of them.

Tembat is another popular destination. The waterfalls are a series 5 steep cascades with a total height of 80 meters.

The river had smoothen the banks of its path making space for good campsites.

Very clear clean trail will lead hikers to the top of the waterfall for a panoramic view of its path and the lake.

With so many other attractions in this huge wilderness, waterfall hunting suddenly slip to an all time low priority. We will not steal the excitement, seek out the waterfalls yourself here!
