Bendul Falls is a waterfall series with many mid-sized falls with up to 9 falls documented on Sg. Bendul. The name of the waterfall is easily mixed up with the nearby Ulu Bendul Recreational Forest (which is actually Sg. Batang Terachi) but both are located on a different stream entirely. Some smaller fall levels border between being classified as big cascades or small waterfalls but are equally interesting nonetheless. This waterfall is NOT suitable for beginners as the trail is unmarked and require bushwhacking plus a mix of river trekking.

Bendul Fall 7 (2.72534, 102.08523)

Head to Seremban township as the nearest landmark. From there merge into Route 51 Jln Seremban - Kuala Pilah and navigate to some roadside food stalls (here) where the trailhead begins. There are plenty of parking spaces here. Park without obstructing passing traffic.

Proceed by foot from here on out along the center tarred road to a small villa behind the food stalls. There is a small bridge nearby where the Sg. Bendul stream outflow is visible. There is a surprising lack of any clear trail here despite it being rather close to civilization. Visitors will have to bushwhack following the right side of the stream thru the semi-bushy jungle. The 1st sign of a waterfall promise will be visible not too long after. (Image 1.) Continue river trekking upstream to the next level Bendul Falls 3. (Image 2.) Bendul Falls 3 has a similar layout as per Jeram Kubang Gajah in a much smaller scale. Bendul Falls 2 is just below it with 2 tiers while Fall 4 (Image 3.) is above it.

The next stretch of the river is where the larger waterfalls are centered around. Again there are no trails here. River / riverside trekking is the only available option. The falls are documented below with their respective GPS positions. Beyond Bendul Fall 6 the river splits into 2 smaller tributaries. Follow the left tributary stream where Bendul Fall 7 (main image above) is found. Visitors who wish to continue and opt for the hill trail to exit can continue to scale upriver where 2 more waterfalls is found. Otherwise backtrack downriver the same way as per entry.

Fall 8 (2.72448, 102.08698) and 9 (2.72433, 102.08746)

Visitors who decide to scale up to Fall 9 will find that the stream gets rather small and the landscape is a rather rocky boulders area. Visitors may also spot ribbon markers. This ribbon markers are likely an alternative trail up Bukit Patong. Follow these ribbon markers downhill instead to exit the jungle. There are a few junctions during the exit trail. The ribbon markers may not always be clear throughout the whole downhill trail but it generally follows the hill ridge on the right before finally arriving at an abandoned & overgrown plantation. The tall bush of this area obscures the trail and can cause the exit hike to be quite confusing & frustrating. The trail will finally end at an open area with a small path where visitors can exit to the main road.

Exploration Notes : There are no further exploration upriver due to the boulder stream landscape. Due to the small depreciating volume of water, it does not look worthwhile to attempt so.
