Lata Tengkorak Fall is a near vertical horsetail fall roughly translated as "Skull Waterfall". It is a popular pitstop for mountain hikers attempting Gunung Berlumut. To visit this waterfall, visitors are required to hire a Johor mountain guide who will also obtain a forestry permit to be allowed entry.

Head to the nearest township Kluang as the landmark. From Kluang drive along Jln Mersing and take the junction going to Hutan Lipur Gng Berlumut. (Image 1) Visitors will pass housing estates of Felda settlers before reaching the recreational forest gate. (here) This is a popular weekend recreational spot for families with children who often picnic by the river. There is a strict opening times and hours policy that visitors should take note. Once all the registration and permit process is done, follow the hired guide to the waterfall. The trail starts off initially on cemented pathways before continuing on well-trodden jungle trails. At the signposted junction take the right trail to the waterfall. (Image 3.)
