Lanai Falls
Lanai Falls is a very tall and magnificent waterfall where cascades of water flows down over a huge exposed rockface over several tiers before forming a sizeable pool at its base. Its tall but sloped characteristics results in its beauty being hidden from view at ground level. The name of the waterfall is coined by unknown individuals that have placed a sign near a campsite situated nearby. This waterfall is not suitable for beginners and visitors are highly advised to engage a guide.
Head to Slim Village town as the landmark. Slim Village is a small town with road access from Slim River (northern side) or from Tanjung Malim(southern side). At the T-junction opposite the Slim Village Police Station, take the road junction going towards the SJK(C) Ho Pin school (Image 1). Follow the tarred main road till there is an exit junction (here) to Kg. Orang Asli Sg. Piong. The local aboriginal folk are friendly and visitors can drive in pass the village to the end where there is a church hall on the right. Opposite the church building is an open field where visitors can seek permission to park their vehicles. Ensure to park sensibly without obstructing the path of local folks. Proceed by foot from here on out.
Continue along the faint trail for another 700m where visitors will finally reach a campsite near the waterfall. A sign denoting the waterfall name is visible on a tree made by prior explorers.
