Kemonchak Falls
Kemonchak Falls is a series of 4 low-flow cascade waterfalls. Surprisingly, at every waterfall level there is a pool. While the pools are small in size, it is deep enough for soaking to enjoy the gentle calming waters. At the last fall, the pool gets deep and narrow with a boulder wedged in the middle. There is no clear trail, beginners are NOT advised to attempt this without guidance.
Head to Janda Baik as the landmark. At the 1st junction take a right.(Image 1) Proceed inwards towards Kg Sg Chemperoh. At the next major town junction near the police station, keep right.(Image 2) Proceed along the route till arriving at the next junction. Take a right here.(Image 3) Finally cross the small bridge to Perumahan PKNP Janda Baik. Visitors can park around the area by the road shoulder without obstructing passing traffic. There will not be any space for parking further up the narrow road. Proceed by foot and turn right at the small left path down. (3.30734, 101.86666) Cross the Sg Kemonchak stream and follow the faint trail on the left upriver. The hike is mostly river trekking or along the forest right beside the stream. The final 4th fall is found at 3.30159, 101.86152.
