Bergut Fall is a single vertical drop punchbowl waterfall about 2 stories high. It has a small but interesting pebble cave formation behind the waterfall formed by the delicately balanced rock boulder stuck between 2 rock cliffs. Water cascades down into a semi-large pool that is neck deep. The surroundings are shady & cooling; rocks of the darker shade variety are scattered around the edge of the pool. There is no clear trail, a guide is recommended for visitors who wish to visit the waterfall.
Bergut fall is located in the same region as Lata Meraung fall. Both share the same access road, however Bergut fall is nearer while Lata Meraung is deeper in. Start by navigating to Kg Sungai Lekok, at the junction turn right (Image 1) and head to Kg Orang Asli Sungai Kiul. The narrow road is properly tarred and shared by traffic from both directions. Follow this road and keep an eye out for the offroad right junction. This section off the road is quite bumpy and is a mix of pebble and soil. Visitors with normal sedan car should park by the clearing beside the road and proceed by foot. There is no parking inside with only small patches of clearing, hence large groups should not drive inside and park outside as well without obstructing the road.
While there is no clear trail to the waterfall, the jungle itself has been developed for agricultural activities. Signs of human path is visible thou a guide is still highly recommended. Follow the main estate road in till arriving at a small hut near a stream. Across the stream there is a left junction following the river side jungle trail. The trail leads to another stream crossing where at the opposite side of the river bank a banana plantation is visible.(Image 2) From here, visitors will have to river trek following the river upstream. Visitors will encounter some low height cascade waterfalls (Image 3) before reaching the main waterfall.
