Tasik Puteri Waterfall is a man-made waterfall that receives its water source from the adjacent Puteri Lake. The Puteri Lake itself is a man-made lake that used to be an open-pit mining site for iron ore from as far back to the early 19th century. The waterfall cascades down a rocky cliff into a large & deep pool. There is a shallow section as well downriver where tiered pools are designed for children. Basic facilities like huts, campsite area, food stalls, prayer rooms & toilet amenities are available around the area. There are no entry fees imposed to visit this waterfall and it can be quite crowded during weekends. Suitable for beginners.

Air Terjun Tasik Puteri

Head to the UiTM Bukit Besi as the landmark. The Tasik Puteri recreational park is easy to find and available on google maps. It take less than 5 mins to reach the falls from the carpark.

The water is crystal clear but the environment is spoilt by visitors who still lack the civic conscious to dispose of their food waste properly despite there being plenty of rubbish bins available around the area.(Image 1 & 2) There would be a risk of leptospirosis infection if not for the upkeep by the local city municipal.

"Rubbish exist when there is an imbalance of those willing to take action."

If you plan to visit this waterfall, do bring a plastic bag along. In the event there is rubbish left by irresponsible individuals, you can contribute and do our part to keep nature's paradise clean.
