Salak fall is a twin horsetail type waterfall with several smaller cascade waterfalls downriver. It only has a shallow pool at the main fall but the water is very pristine and refreshing. The entry access road requires some light off-roading to reach the trailhead.

Salak Fall

Head to SMK Proton City as the landmark. At the end of the road near Ujana Mualim there is a right junction going into a double track offroad trail.(Photo 1) Follow the dirt trail for about 1.2km till arriving at a Y-junction. Proceed left for roughly around 700m and look for an empty clearing beside the trail to park. There is limited parking space and large groups are advised to park outside and hike in instead.

The trail starts at 3.73136, 101.55162 and leads to a stream overlooking high tension towers. From here on there is no clear trail and visitors have to either river trek or jungle trek to reach the main fall. Visitors are highly advised to engage a guide. Along the way by river trekking there are some interesting cascade falls pictured below.
