Commonwealth Fall is a single drop horsetail waterfall located upstream of the eco forest park. During higher flow seasons the waterfall extends in width and looks more interesting. This eco forest is less popular among visitors as its entrance is not obvious and underappreciated by visitors who flock to the nearby Kanching Falls instead. The eco forest park has plenty of camping spots and basic facilities. It was not spared from the heavy rainfall of Dec 2021 with visible signs of heavy sand deposit and some plant debris along the river.

Commonwealth Fall

Head to Commonwealth Eco Forest Park as the landmark. It is located right at the junction of Rawang Bypass and the old trunk road towards Rawang town.(Image 1) Take the left most lane down to the park entrance. There is a parking fee collected by the forestry department.

From the carpark, proceed by foot following the left side of the stream. There used to be some walking paths in the past but most of it has been destroyed by the flood waters. Along the stream there are some cascades and a side fall.(Image 2) Visitors may also spot a signboard that labels the waterfall as POI #14 with brief descriptions and a cryptic message. The surroundings of the waterfall is quite clean, thou there are still visible signs of rubbish and bottles left by irresponsible visitors.

Went with 4 other friends on 15th March 1998. We did see a Hindu temple but the waterfall was appalling.

I went there on 01/05/2011. From the carpark, we have to walk for about 20 mins along the slippery rocks and crossing the stream several times. Also, there are a lot of leeches so bring salt when going there. Swimming is suitable here. This place is not suitable for picnic, children and elderly ppl.

I am not recommend anyone to go here. There are lots of leeches everywhere and on top of the hill, there is a stable which they might link the sewerage directly to the river.

This waterfall is really nice one. theres no crowds of people, little rubbish (please keep it that way) and its adventurous.. there is a resort on top of the hill where you can get food, nice walking around. then the trecking down the hill is fun. recomend for families. as it is not a challenging task, but fun for sure. i went there with a 6 year old kid. so it is good
