A nice cascade

From the carpark it is not far to the first cascade.
This cascade is tall but not very steeply inclined.

Visitors can find a nice place on the rocks and enjoy their bath with jacuzzi.

We went to Gabai on 8 January and tried to reach the upper falls. Once past the garbage and crumbling park structures, it is a fine hike. ew continued followed the rubber pipeline for a ways and hiked about an hour more. At this point the gradient steepened giving hope we were getting close but for lack of time never did reach the upper falls.

The Tourism Ministry ought to upgrade the cleanliness of toilets & changing room. Our recent experience at Gua Maloi of N.S toilets are so filthy & sink stuck with rubbish!! Despite charging RM20+10, no cleaning! When is Malaysian growing up?

Me and my boys frequent this waterfall as it nearby but yes lately this place getting dirtier with low mental ppl who throw/left rubbish after having a good time there. Also I really dont know why some ppl like to take bath with soap at waterfall? Arent selangor gov have absorded some of the cost of water bills? Really sickening whenever I see this kind of super low mentality ppl...

Been there on 04/12/2010, the waterfall is very nice, however, a lot of visitor leave a lot of waste bottles, plastic bags and bbq staff (wire net) behind. Guys...leave nothing but foot print.

2010-03-28 - The waterfall is nice, unfortunately many irresponsible ppl ruin it, they BBQ, wash dishes, and even bath with shampoo at the waterfall.. come on.. if you want to enjoy "clean" water, you better to go top.. otherwise, u are bathing other ppls dirt..
satindolls2008 12-04-2010
Photographer fees have been levied at this falls lately - NO WAY!!!

Nice waterfall and cooling water but smelly toilets and overdue rubbish placed next at the entrance of the waterfall with lots of flies flying around. The smelly toilets made it impossible to change. Bluekkk!!!

Went to the Gabai waterfall lately with my family...its such a beautiful place but unfortunately many people still need to be educated to take away rubbish instead of leaving them behind!!! Making the place so unsightly.....Sigh!

visited this waterfall today... lovely waterfall... climbed up higher and sadly rubbish n bbq leftovers can b seen... unaware of the operating hours but went anyway at 7.30am just to be greeted by an unfriendly caretaker who kept treathening us to pay up although we said LATER cos wallet in the car at the entrance. We went up anyway ignoring him. The other caretakers are friendly. Have to go early if wanna enjoy fully... 9am onwards full with ppl...

A very nice waterfall no doubt. But too dirty at the top and weekends is a no no. Picnickers leaving heaps of rubbish. Would have been one of the top ranked in my list but sadly the place is overexploited I think. Cannot recall when I last enjoyed this waterfall.
Tedny 06-03-2009
Howdy, i am new here and kinda like this place and are planning to go over the weekend..

Just visited the falls yesterday and it was awesome! Lower levels were quite clean but the upper level where ppl like to camp, there are plenty of trash around and i saw the cleaners picking up the trash and burn in openly somewhere beside the waterfalls. I hope all these unethical way of handling the rubbish will be stopped and visitors must b educated not to leave rubbish behind too. Overall it was a nice trip.

Gabai is a very picturesque and pleasant falls, even with crowds. The vertical stairs make it easy to get to the hilltop where it flattens out into a nice swimming hole. I would appreciate more information on the jungle trail beyond the upper falls. Let me know at www.nature-escapes-kuala-lumpur.com

Went there today with some friends (Nov 1st 2008). Whilst on its own the waterfall is very nice and beautiful, indiscriminate picnickers and campers litter the whole place with plastic and polystyrene wares. An utter disgrace and a very disappointing attitude. Otherwise, go there over the week day when there are less people, and people should be made aware to bring down their own litter and not leave up there at the falls expecting it to disappear into thin air

Alicia, from Bukit OUG take the Kesas Highway. Head to Bdr Tasik Selatan, then take left. Then there will be a traffic light. Turn right and you will reach Taman Connaught Cheras. From there go all the way straight. Just follow the road and you will reach a RM1 toll. After the toll keep left. Turn left then go straight. You will come to a Y junction in front of a police station. Turn left. Go all the way straight and follow the Gabai Sign. There will be a signboard stating that u need to turn right.. twenty mins drive from the Y junction earlier. From there you wil see signages which lead you to Gabai.

Wen three the week before. Nice place. Due to the Ramadhan month not so crowded. Prefer Tekala though except for the monkeys.

ada sesiapa bole bgtau, di antara tempat2 ini yg mana paling sesuai utk family yg ada kanak2 kecil...
Tony Sung 20-11-2007
The Sg Gabai waterfalls is really nice. I prefer it to the nearby Tekala Falls or Sungai Chongkak but it also suffers from the easy assess like the other two and gets really crowded during weekends. Best to visit early morning on weekdays.
