Waterfalls  for the  adventurous

Resorts Land at Genting

On the picturesque and cool valley between Gunong Ulu Kali and Gunong Bunga Buah are 2 hill’s resorts; The Awana Golf Club and The Genting View Resort.

Inside the compound of the GVR there is already a waterfall. Together with the two mountains streams from the steep mountains, they form the backbone of the Resorts’ landscapes.

Having checked into this mountain resort, there are guests who may want to get out into the jungle. To get the feel of things around here. What else or reasons are needed to take that walk away from the usual safe passages. Waterfalls!

There are many minor waterfalls within these steep hills. The more exposed waterfalls were remodeled when the landscaping work was through with them. The remote and undisturbed waterfalls may lie in areas that do not fit your idea of a stroll into the jungle.

Near the Awana Club, there is this waterfall at the catchments area. It is not publicized at all. It is there and is kept out of bound.

This is a good 20 meters drop near vertical fall! Getting up is a bit tricky as some climbing over the rocks are required. Not advisable to bring the children along!

This used to be a very attractive waterfall. Now, the Genting View Resort is built around the Waterfall, it remains an ornamental piece as part of the landscape.

Some day when the silting stops and the steep slope of the ravine manicured, then there will be a beautiful domesticated waterfall for all to enjoy. Meanwhile, you could move down the banks to take good pictures of Mushrooms, that are found in abundance.

For the more serious adventurers, the Resorts managements, fascinated by the conducive terrain and existing flora, have created tracking trails for the guests or any one interested in doing some jungle trekking in the cool environment.

We too have listed some waterfalls around the valley area that you could explore on your own. See our next site!
