Sagoh Fall is a tall fan waterfall with crystal clear and very cold waters. An impressive scene when viewed in person with a strong chilling breeze emanating from the falls. The base of the fall has a waist deep pool with a deeper one situated downriver between canyon cliffs. To visit the waterfall, visitors will have to seek permission of the Tok Batin of Kg Tidul village and hire a guide to help navigate the moderately challenging trail. Access to this region is the biggest challenge to visit this waterfall as the roads are in bad shape which requires an offroad capable vehicle (preferable with 4 wheel drive) or traveling light like the locals do on motorcycles.

Sagoh Fall

The access road to the village is off Jalan Tersang - Sg Koyan (Route 1504). There is also no petrol stations in the interior region, so visitors need to be prepared in advance for both the entry and exit trip. There is a google POI marking of the road junction. (4.1172, 101.7781) From here on, it is a straight forward road all the way to Kg Tigol. Visitors should 1st meet up with the tok batin of Kg Tigol village and getting his consent before proceeding to Kg Ulu Tidul. The tok batin will also assist to announce your arrival via walkie talkies to the village to ensure access is free and passable.
From Kg Tigol, visitors will pass Kg Saweh and reach a junction that separates Kg Kuala Tidul & Kg Ulu Tidul. Take the right junction going uphill to Kg Ulu Tidul. This road is very narrow with some sections having large boulders at the cliff edges just barely passable to a single vehicle with NO SPACE ON ITS ROAD BANKS TO DUCK ASIDE should there be an opposing vehicle. Hence it is important that prior arrangements was made with the tok batin at Kg Tigol before ascending. On google maps, it listed the total journey as approximately 39km. Upon reaching the village, there is a wide space for parking that can accommodate about 6 vehicles. The locals have also prepared camping spots by the river for visitors to camp overnight.

With the Tok Batin's permission to visit, hire a local guide to assist navigating the jungle trail. There are trails junctions that can be confusing in the bushy jungle. Along the way there are 3 river crossings before reaching Sagoh Fall.
